Ellen (Eleanor) Ashforth
Further research of Ellen ASHFORTH has produced a death during 1943 in Sheffield of one Eleanor ASHFORTH. This death certificate may reveal some new data that will help resolve some of the mystery surrounding Ellen ASHFORTH.
Update: 2010-09-13 Sheffield Register Office called to check the address of Ellen ASHFORTH. SRO thought it was Barton Street, but I pointed out that it was most likely Burton Street; just a trancription error hopefully. SRO seemed to agree the record they were looking at was the correct Ellen ASHFORTH.
Update: 2010-09-21 Received the Death Certificate of Eleanor ASHFORTH

Mary Ann Turner abt. 1860
So far this certificate has eluded me. I am wondering if I need to check other counties.
Update: 2010-01-13 Having looked at this problem again, and checked the Sheffield Register Office BMD database, I have found for 1859 +3 -3 years numerous entries of Mary TURNER and Mary Ann Turner. This looks the most likeliest:
