Personal Ancestral File Companion

Article

In order to maintain my family tree and research notes, I use Personal Ancestral File published by FamilySearch. It's free, has a clean, uncluttered interface, and does virtually everything I require. I recently downloaded and installed the PAF Companion a plugin to the main application that extends the control of printed output. The free download has some features disabled and since the cost of a full licence is minimal I decided to purchase the upgrade.

One hour later I gave up. I could not purchase a downloadable product online and when I used the published telephone number (a number in the US and I am based in the UK) I was taken on an automated telephone answering system's idea of a magical mystery tour. Not knowing how much the telephone call was costing I eventually admitted defeat. A pity really, since the product seemed quite useful.
